The highly anticipated drama Nashville premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. The show stars Hayden Panettiere as rising star Juliette Barnes and Friday Night Lights actress Connie Britton as rival veteran performer Rayna Jaymes.
Connie tells Redbook, “We have an opportunity to show a woman who is self-made and successful and really trying to have it all, and the complexities and difficulties of it… We have the opportunity to show the sexiness and gorgeousness of a woman with experience and wisdom.”
All the actors perform original music on the show, which will also feature smash hits like Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” Shot entirely in Music City, the show includes cameos by such artists as Eric Paslay, who plays himself backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in the pilot.
The pilot is posted for free on iTunes, and a few tunes from the show -- “Love Like Mine,” “Back Home” and “If I Didn’t Know Better” -- are available for $1.29 each.

Jason Aldean’s Night Train is streaming now on iTunes in advance of the 15-track collection’s release next Tuesday. The album is available only on desktop and iPad devices in the U.S. and Canada. Jason says, “It’s a really cool thing that iTunes is letting us offer a stream of the album a week before release. I am so anxious to get this album out and for the fans to hear it, so this feels like an early birthday present or something.”
Jason holds the top spot on both the Billboard Country Songs and Mediabase charts this week. It's his sixth consecutive number-one, and the 10th of his career.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley keep their hosting skills sharp by hosting things other than the CMA Awards.
Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band will headline the 2013 Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California April 26th through 28th. The three-day fest will also include sets by Hank Williams Junior, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins, Darius Rucker and Thompson Square.
Tickets go on sale October 20th at 2 p.m. ET. Prices start at $239.

Rascal Flatts are heading Down Under next spring to headline the CMC Rocks the Hunter 2013 festival. Billy Ray Cyrus, Chris Young, The Band Perry and Adam Brand will also perform during the three-day festival, which is set for March 15th through 17th in New South Wales’s Hunter Valley.

HARVEST BUTTERNUT SQUASH & PORK STEW
This is so easy, it's perfect for those days when you have projects to get done, but you still need something hearty for dinner that doesn't suck up your time! When choosing your pork loin, you can use plain, or a (pre-seasoned) garlic, or southwest/mesquite pork tenderloin. 1 pound pork tenderloin, cubed1 medium onion, chopped1 tablespoon canola oilDash sea salt Heat oil in skillet, add onion, cubed pork loin and a dash of salt - DON'T OVERSALT! Stir and brown over medium heat. In the meantime, add the following ingredients to your 4-5 quart crockpot/slowcooker: 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced or stewed tomatoes 1 small (7oz.) can mild green chilies, chopped & undrained1 heaping Tablespoon chili powder1 teaspoon ground cumin1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning1/2 teaspoon white pepper3-4 cups chicken broth When pork is nicely browned, add it to the crockpot mix, stir to combine spices, cover and cook on low 4-5 hours, or high 3 hours depending on your cooker - you don't want it to burn...Stir once or twice while it's cooking, test squash to see if it's soft.Serves 4-6 with warm corn muffins and lots of butter on the side!
