Not sure what the guy in the intro is saying, but here's the Charlie Daniels Band doing "Legend Of Wooley Swamp"
Well not really but here goes. I've been in the radio biz since 1986, starting out in Big Rapids on Q102-FM (I know, Ferris St. new in radio it was a lot of fun... I think). I've been in Muskegon for about 20 years now and love it here. Getting the opportunity to work at such a great station as WMUS in my adopted "home-town" is pretty cool.
I've been married for almost 20 years to Karen, who I met here in Muskegon while we were both working at the Hilton (anybody remember that ?). We've got two great kids Mark(13) and Ashley(9). Mark's in the band at school and Ashley has just started playing soccer after several years in gymnastics.
I LOVE sports!!! Redwings, Pistons, Tigers and yes even the Lions. I also follow college sports especially Grand Valley Laker Football, where you can find me at all the home games emceeing the on-field contests. It's a blast being down on the field that close to all the action. I also enjoy playing all sorts of sports, softball/volleyball/golf/basketball
I 'm a big horror movie fan, been watching them since I was a kid(which probably explains a lot about me), but I do like all different types which is why I like working at the Family Video in North Muskegon. Stop by some time and I'll tell you all about my favorites!!
Me attempting the Shoreline Natural Wellness challenge, notice the perfect form !!

Movie Reviews week of 06/17

Jack the Giant Slayer (PG-13)
A reworking of the classic childrens story about a boy named Jack (Nicholas Hoult from "Warm Bodies") who takes the family cow (or horse and cart in this case) into town to sell it and ends up with magic beans that create a beanstalk into the sky where the giants (yes plural) live. Stars Ewen McGregor and Stanley Tucci has really good special effects and a very entertaining story, I liked it and so did my kids so good for ages 12 and up.
Grade B
